Stila Eye For Elegance Liquid Eyeshadow Set

After purchasing the eye for elegance liquid eye shadow set from Stila, I decided to write a quick post letting you know my thoughts.

I am always looking for a glitter eye shadow, as I feel that they complete any evening look. I seem to struggle when it comes to finding an eye shadow that is both glittery and pigmented. I decided to pick up this set and after testing it out a few times now, I am really impressed.

The set comes with six mini liquid eye shadows. Three of which are described as shimmer and glow, which have a more metallic look and the other three are glitter and glow, which as the name states are much more glittery. The shades easily match up with each other, which allows you to wear both a metallic and glitter eye shadow at once.

Next To Notte and Twig.

This is a swatch of the two deeper red shades. They work beautifully together and are very pigmented as you can see. The glitter and glow eye shadow has more of a copper tone, which works well when matched with other brown shadows.

Kitten and Peachy Sheen.

These are by far my favourite shades. The glitter shadow has a peachy, champagne tone which I love. The metallic Kitten shade is also incredible and can be work everyday. These shade really brighten up a look and help give off that perfect glow.

Grace and Smoldering Satin.

These two shades are a lot more pinky than the the previous two. The glitter shade Smoldering Satin is a lot pinker than I would usually go for, but can be toned down with a darker shadow.

These liquid eye shadows are great and they dry really quickly. After wearing these all day at work, I was pleased to find that they don’t budge at all. By using a liquid glitter eye shadow you don’t have any of the residue ruining the rest of your makeup which is also a plus. If you’re looking to try out a new glitter or metallic eye shadow, I would definitely recommend you try these out.

The Gossip Nail Bar

I recently visited The Gossip Nail Bar in Bristol and I am so impressed with my new nails. The Gossip Nail Bar has recently opened in Old Market, Bristol. The nail bar is working in collaboration with Glitch Hair Salon, a trendy place which works perfectly with this quirky new addition.

I absolutely love the atmosphere of this nail salon, and the work Emily creates is amazing. Unlike many other nail salons, Emily ensures that you feel comfortable with your nails and that your experience in the salon is one to remember.

Along with her amazing manicures, you can also choose to have some unique nail art and designs added to your nails. I chose to go for Acrylic nails with a Gel polish finish. My nails were ready just in time for Christmas and I am so impressed with the end result.

My glittery pink nails are definitely ready for the festive season. I love the gems which were added on and the textures that were created. I can’t wait to head back to the salon and try out a new design in a few weeks.

If you’re looking for vegan friendly, quirky and glam nails, then I would definitely recommend you check out The Gossip Nail Bar.

Highlighter Highlights

thumbnail_IMG_2866

Like most people, I love to complete my makeup with the perfect highlighter. Depending on the occasion and look I want, I tend to use a different highlighter each time.

Although I have many in makeup collection, I thought I would share with you the top four that I use the most. The highlighters featured in this post are very different as they all have completely different shades.

Urban Decay Afterglow – Sin

I’m pretty sure that I have featured this highlighter in one of my posts already, but I am still totally obsessed with it! The shade of this highlighter is perfect for both a day and night look. It’s labelled as lasting eight hours and I definitely agree. I tend to wear this highlighter to work everyday and it doesn’t budge at all.

Technic Get Gorgeous – Pink Sparkle

When I first saw this product I did not expect to like it as much as I do. The shade of this highlighter is not as pigmented as it first looks, although it does give you enough colour to brighten up any makeup look. This is the perfect highlighter for a summers day and with it costing less than £3.00 you can’t go wrong.

Kiko Milano Fall 2.0 Highlighter – Steps to Modern

This my go-to highlighter for any evening look. The tone of this highlighter goes perfectly with a warm bronzer and gives you that extra shimmer, without looking like you’ve got chunks of glitter stuck to your face. This product is also long lasting which is always a plus as you won’t need to reapply it throughout the evening.

MUA Luxe Highlight Shimmer Stick

As you have probably noticed I usually go for powder highlighters as I find they last a lot longer and give a more natural finish. But this highlighter stick helps to create the perfect dewy look. This product only costs £4.00, so it is another budget product that I am really impressed with.

What highlighters do you love? I’d love to check out some new products.
