Revolution Bristol Review

Who doesn’t love an evening filled with Burgers and Cocktails?
This week I visited Revolution Bristol to try out their new menu. With such a wide range of food and cocktails, I couldn’t wait to visit.

The venue has such great decor and I absolutely love the vibe here. The newly launched menu features many great dishes such as Pizzas, Burgers and much more. The prices are really reasonable and there are always special offers on.

The staff here were really friendly and helped me pick the best cocktail. After discussing what my favourite kind of drinks were, I decided to go with a classic Gin N Juice.

Not only do the cocktails taste great, but they look absolutely incredible. These Insta Worthy drinks are definitely up there with my favourite.

They have such a wide range of burgers here, all of which you can customise to your taste. I decided to go for the Beat Burger, Mexican Style with added Avocado and Tomato Salsa. The Veggie Burger was Beetroot based and absolutely delicious. I decided to choose Sweet Potato fries with my burger, but you can also choose to add extra toppings to the fries.

The burgers are really filling, but after looking at the dessert menu we couldn’t say no. We decided to share the Chocolate Brownie with Salted Caramel Chocolate Sauce and Ice Cream, along with the Cookie Dough S’more.

Both dishes were filled with chocolate, which is my absolute favourite. The desserts are great for sharing and a delicious way to end the meal.

We had such a fun evening here and I can’t wait to return and try out some more of their cocktails. You can tell that there is a lot of thought put into the menu and it definitely helps make your experience here special.

The cocktails and food provided to me on this evening were gifted but all opinions are my own.

Future Inn Hotels – Jazz Evening

If you didn’t already know, I absolutely love the city I live in and I always enjoy finding new exciting places to visit in Bristol. I was recently invited to visit the Future Inn Hotel in Bristol and I was delighted to have  look around and sample some of their delicious food.

Future Inn Bristol offers some incredible Jazz Nights, so it was lovely to be able experience the evening for myself. On arrival we were greeted with a glass of bubbly and had a chance to have a look around the rooms.

The hotel is based in the city centre and is the perfect spot for somebody visiting the city.

The hotel restaurant offers a huge range of Steaks and I have heard such great things about them, so as a Vegetarian I was intrigued to see if the Veggie Menu was up to the same standard.

To start I had the garlic and herb creamy mushrooms on toasted focaccia. I am such a huge fan of mushrooms and these did not disappoint.

For my main I tried the Tofu Chilli, ginger and sesame roasted vegetable tart served with grilled pak choi. Unlike many vegetable tarts, this dish was very tasty and you could definitely taste the chilli. I was really impressed with this dish and it is something I would be happy to order again.

For my dessert it had to be chocolate. This chocolate and cherry cheesecake was so yummy. It was the perfect dish to end a delicious meal.

After finishing our food we headed downstairs to spend the evening listening to some live Jazz. It was such a great atmosphere and the music was brilliant. I really enjoyed my evening here and I would love to return for another fun filled evening of Jazz.

Quay Street Diner Roast Dinner

Last week I was lucky enough to try out the new Roast Dinners at Quay Street Diner in Bristol.

Quay Street Diner is a Californian Diner, offering brunch, lunch, dinner and cocktails. Their unique selling point is the fact that they are all about live fire cooking.  Their diverse menu uses local ingredients to create delicious dishes inspired by tastes from across the world.

My boyfriend and I were really excited to try out their menu, especially as we both love to spend our Sundays stuffing our faces with a good Roast Dinner.

Whilst we waiting for our food to arrive, we decided to taste one of their Bellinis. I absolutely loved them. It really is just what you need on a Sunday afternoon.

For our food, I chose the Lenti, Butternut, Cashew and Chestnut Roast. This option was Vegan and was served with some delicious vegetables and gravy.

It’s fair to say that I really enjoyed my dish. The Nut Roast was incredibly tasty and most importantly it didn’t feel too dry.

After enjoying our mains we decided to take a look at the dessert menu. I decided to chose the Chocolate and Coconut Tart, which again was a Vegan option.

Not only did this dish look amazing, but it was really yummy. The Strawberry Coulis worked perfectly with the chocolate and I was really surprised that this dish was actually Vegan.

We really enjoyed our time at Quay Street Diner. Not only was the food spot on, but the atmosphere was also great. We will definitely be returning soon!

Sholay Indian Kitchen

If you’re from Bristol, then you may already know about the hidden gem that is Wapping Wharf. The vibrant community can be found just off Bristol Harbourside, behind M-Shed. The area is filled with many cafes, bars and restaurants, along with some quirky shops.

Amongst the area, based in Cargo 2, is where you will find Sholay Indian Kitchen. The funky and colourful restaurant, serves up tasty Indian dishes, both big and small, to suit all of your needs.

After hearing great things about the restaurant, I decided to head over and try it out for myself. As Wapping Wharf is only a short walk away from my house, it was the perfect place to go on a summer evening.

Whilst we decided on our food, we decide to try out the drinks they had to offer. My boyfriend decided to go for a Kingfisher Beer and I went the Sholay Mojito. This cocktail is a passion fruit twist on the original and I absolutely loved it. The cocktail came with a bamboo straw which I thought was a great touch.

To start I went for the famous Sholay Chaat. Not only does this dish look absolutely incredible, but it tasted amazing. The dish features the perfect combination of samosas and chickpeas, both zesty and sweet.

My boyfriend chose the Hara Bhara Kebab which I had to try. These were really tasty and worked brilliantly with the sauce. I will definitely be returning to the restaurant to try out these veggie dishes again.

Then it was time for our main. I can honestly say this was one of the nicest dishes I have ever tasted. I am getting hungry just thinking about it.

The Baingan Moilee was a beautifully presented vegetarian dish, filled with mashed potato, aubergines and a mouth watering coconut milk sauce. Words cannot describe the flavours in this dish. If you are planning on visiting this restaurant then I would absolutely recommend this dish.

My boyfriend decided to try the Masala Fish for his main which he loved. I can’t comment on the taste myself as I don’t eat fish, but he was definitely impressed with this dish.

Overall I am so impressed with Sholay Indian Kitchen. The food is so colourful and full of flavour. The menu works perfectly with the location and I can’t fault the service.
This place is definitely one to watch.

Thank you to Sholay Indian Kitchen for having us and providing us with these incredible dishes, we will definitely be returning soon!
